The Robbie Williams Give it Sum Fund
Set up by Robbie in 2000, the Robbie Williams Give it Sum Fund (managed by Comic Relief) has made a positive difference to thousands of people across North Staffordshire. As a result of Robbie’s generosity, more than £5.5 million has been awarded and more than 300 projects have benefitted from grants during this time.
The money has supported a wide range of organisations and initiatives such as refurbishing community centres, funding hospice nurses, helping older people access community facilities and enabling young people to learn new skills and lead healthier lifestyles.
While the main Give it Sum fund will not be reopening for applications, groups can still access funding through the Community Chest which will continue to distribute small grants on behalf of Give it Sum until 2014. This programme is delivered by the Staffordshire Moorlands CVS and grants of up to £1000 are available.
Inspired by the Give it Sum Fund, Comic Relief has agreed to build on the success that Robbie has achieved with his funding in North Staffordshire. As a result, a new strand of work for the area will be launched later in the year.
