UK Grants
Comic Relief operates 3 grants funds for work within the UK. Each of these has different criteria and different application processes and deadlines. Further information can be found by clicking the links below.
Red Nose Day Programmes 2005-2008

This is our biggest grants fund. It awards some of the money raised from Red Nose Day.
Comic Relief is currently carrying out a review of its UK Grants programmes. This is to ensure that the money raised through Red Nose Day and Sport Relief is still reaching the areas and people that need it the most.
This means that we will not be accepting applications for funding until early 2009, however see below for further detail on our Small Grants Programmes as we will continue to make some grants up to the value of £5000.
Please keep checking the pages of www.comicrelief.com where details of our new programmes, application details and the next deadline date will be released. If you would like us to contact you when the details of the next deadline are available please send an email entitled "2009 Deadline" to: ukgrants@comicrelief.com
If you have any further queries regarding Comic Reliefs Grantmaking Programmes please contact us via – ukgrants@comicrelief.com or phone us on 020 7820 5555
Small Grants: Under £5000
Uk Small Grants Application form (.doc)
- The final application deadline for the Disadvantaged Communities and the Older People programme is 30th September 2008. However, due to funds still being available in the Mental Health small grants programme the final deadline date for this programme is 12th December 2008.
New programmes will be launched in line with our Red Nose Day Programmes in early 2009.
Please note that due to the large volumes of applications, we are unable to provide written confirmation of receipt. To ensure we receive your application, we recommend you send it via Recorded Delivery.
Sport Relief 2006-2008

In the UK, money raised through Sport Relief 2006 is currently being distributed in two ways:
- The Community Foundation Network is distributing Sport Relief grants to projects that use sport to build the confidence and self esteem of people who are having major problems in their lives. Other projects will give people who would otherwise miss out, the chance to take part in sport.
- UnLtd is distributing Sport Relief grants to young people who use sport to bring people together in their local area to enhance community relations and reduce conflict where they live
The Robbie Williams' Give It Sum Fund (2007-08)

This fund is Robbie Williams' charitable trust which he set up in 2000 and asked Comic Relief to administer on his behalf. It supports a wide range of work tackling poverty and disadvantage.
It is only available to organisations based in North Staffordshire.
You can get information on our grant-making in large print, on audio tape, in Braille and in Welsh. If you need information in other formats, we will do our best to provide it.
