BUPA
Don’t step on my Big Red Nose!

Red Nose Day mania gripped BUPA UK health insurance as the business threw its backing behind Comic Relief.
Around 400 volunteers, many in fancy dress, handled 8,500 calls over the course of five hours in Staines and Salford Quays and took donations of £270,000 from TV viewers - outstripping the success of a similar link up with Comic Relief in 2005.
Elvis impersonator and employee, Kirk Turner, aka Love Me Turner, kicked off the evening in Salford. Caricaturists, a TV magician, an Arabian derby racing game, a quiz and a bicycle-powered smoothie maker helped keep the volunteers amused!
It was thirsty work with more than 1,000 cups of tea and coffee and hundreds of bottles of water, soft drinks and smoothies being drunk throughout the evening. It was a great night all round.
