Cycling the Channel – in Big Pants?
Pirates, Ferrari mechanics, a walking-talking Red Nose and staff in big pants – just some of the array of costumes that could be seen at EDF Energy’s Exeter Office for The Big One. One member of staff donned a Borat style ‘mankini’ for a mad dash through the building after colleagues raised £500 to witness the never to be repeated feat! And while 200 volunteers took calls from BBC ONE viewers, the fundraising antics continued apace, with everything from staff running, rowing and cycling the Channel (in the company gym) to a money-raising fashion parade for ridiculously oversized hats.
