BT - Doncaster

BT Doncaster Call Centre was one of many that took part in Sport Relief for 2010. The fun started on the 12th March with a” Giant Balloon Race” with 100 balloons being launch and the one that travels the furthest and returned won a meal for two.  This was a huge success with a balloon travelling to South Wales 211 miles. The 19th March was clearly a day of much fun with plenty of activities to raise money for a worthy charity.  There were 118 favours where managers and senior managers dressed up a 118 guys and raised money by doing small favours e.g. “getting cups of tea”, there was also a charity car wash where advisors and managers all joined in too wash cars for £5.00 a go. We had Wii Mario races, we had cake stalls.  The biggest event in Doncaster was the charity football match which was on 20th March,  £1000 in total was raised from this one event. All in all BT Doncaster raised a total of around £2000. The evening was amazing experience for all those taking donation calls, it was a real family affair with mums and dads and many children all supporting those on line.  There was pizza supplied by local companies and tea, coffee and sweets for all.  For some it was an emotional time with many children pledging there weeks’ pocket money to help Sport Relief.  In total over £70,000 was taken in donations for Doncaster.
