For PDCS at Tyneview Park Sport Relief proved to be a massive amount of fun all round. The week saw various fundraising events – a mixed football match, Wii games, head shaving, quizzes, hula hoops, raffles, leg waxing, a buffet (grub donated by Gregg’s the bakers , Jackson’s sandwich shop and Casa Antonia’s Pizzeria) and of course the Sport Relief Mile. Friday culminated with the volunteers on the phones and taking almost £80,000. It felt great to be part of something much bigger and I for one was humbled when I realised just how generous the UK public can be.
