Child Welfare Scheme UK
There are increasing numbers of street and working children in Nepal due to its unstable political and economic situation. Many of these children face extreme poverty and exploitation, and are forced to work long hours every day with little pay and no regard for their health and safety.
Comic Relief is supporting this project to provide over 1,800 children and young people with access to basic services such as shelter, food, health care and education. A centre will be provided where street children can get food and clothing and will be somewhere safe for them to wash, sleep, and receive free health care.
