Bees for Development
Inequalities and inefficiencies in the market chain for honey mean that beekeepers face many obstacles to trade.
The aim of this project is to enable small-scale beekeepers in Uganda to increase their income and strengthen their livelihoods from sales of honey and other bee products through fair and reliable markets. Training and information for beekeepers is enabling them to supply local and regional markets. Fair trade and organic certification will also be gained by selected groups.
