DASL - Drug and Alcohol Service for London (formerly Alcohol East)
Families that experience domestic violence often struggle with alcohol and drug abuse as well. Abusers get more violent after drinking alcohol as it fuels their aggression and those being abused turn to alcohol to escape the pain and devastation caused by their abuser. Children living in these households desperately need support to cope with their situation. Comic Relief is supporting The Drug and Alcohol Service for London to provide specialist one-to-one counselling for young people living in a family where there is domestic violence related to the use of alcohol and drugs.
