Boys and young men who witness domestic violence may be seriously harmed by their experiences. Some start to do badly at school, become involved in criminal activity and may even become abusive in their own relationships, particularly with their mothers.
NDWA is working to improve boys’ ability to express and deal with their feelings without resorting to violence, thus improving their ability to forge healthy relationships and reduce their chances of being excluded from school, taken into care or getting involved in the crime.
