Chinese Mental Health Association
The Chinese community in the UK is often described as an invisible community who are isolated from mainstream society. Language and cultural barriers make it very hard for individuals from the Chinese community to access mental health services when they need them. The Chinese Mental Health Association in London want to employ one member of staff who would train and support Chinese mental health service users to speak up for themselves. By equipping them with the right skills, they can work with service providers to ensure that mental health services better meet their needs.
