The Advocacy Project
A disproportionately high number of people with mental health problems in Liverpool come from black and minority ethnic communities. Many experience difficulties in negotiating the mental health and legal systems, and do not know what their rights are.
Comic Relief is supporting The Advocacy Project to help people with mental health problems to better understand issues relating to mental health, the health and social care systems and their rights. This project is giving vulnerable and disadvantaged people the chance to get the help they need to recover from their mental health problems.
