Fife Elderly Forum Executive
There are 2,200 older people living within Fife who live in a residential care setting. Many of them are vulnerable, with no family or friends to support them and they feel ignored and forced into making decisions without the support they need to make good choices. Many feel that nothing can be done for them and that their voice is not heard. Fife Elderly Forum Executive provides an independent advocacy service for older people living across Fife. Comic Relief is helping this organisation train and support volunteer advocates to help vulnerable older people in care settings speak up for themselves and safeguard their rights, thus improving their quality of life.
