Forest Farm Peace Garden
Refugees and asylum seekers can have few opportunities to mix with people from the communities that they are now a part of, and few chances to get involved in community activities. This can lead to a lack of communication and understanding that leads to tension and mistrust. Forest Farm Peace Garden is regenerating a 10 acre allotment patch, with opportunities for local people to get involved and work alongside refugees and asylum seekers in bringing the area back to life. Comic Relief is helping the project to provide meaningful opportunities for people to come together, learn from and about each other and build relationships.
