Refugee Action
Refugee and asylum seeking women in Nottingham and Leicester have very few opportunities to access support from agencies that truly understand the nature of the things they have been through. High numbers of women have experienced great trauma, including physical and mental abuse, torture and rape, and find themselves extremely isolated and vulnerable.
Comic Relief is supporting Refugee Action to run a drop-in service in both cities that gives women the opportunity to come together in a safe environment, gain support from each other and find out more about essential services to help them and their children.
