Salusbury World
Refugees and asylum seekers face many barriers when trying to integrate into new communities. There are few chances for the local community to meet their new neighbours which reinforces negative stereotypes about the new arrivals and contributes to community tensions. Schools are an integral part of any community and provide a great way of building links between refugees and the local community. Salusbury World in Brent will develop a service that will provide joint social activities for refugee and local parents. These activities promote integration and raise awareness about refugee issues, and benefit everybody.
