Nearly 40% of young people in Surrey are binge drinking every week which is a big increase over the past few years. Many of these young people are drinking dangerous amounts which affect their health and general wellbeing. Before Rainer started this project there was nowhere in Surrey for young people with alcohol problems to go for help. Thankfully, with funding from Comic Relief, Rainer is now employing a specialist alcohol worker who will support young people to reduce the amount of alcohol they consume.
