Recent research and Space KC's own statistics show increasing numbers of young people misusing alcohol and undertaking risky behaviour resulting from this. Comic Relief is supporting SKC to develop a project for 12-19 year olds who misuse alcohol, targeting young offenders, care leavers and young people at risk of sexual exploitation. The project is using prevention and education activities, group activities and access to counselling and complementary therapies. This project will result in a reduction in risky behaviour because of alcohol consumption, a reduction in binge and problematic drinking, and more young people making informed choices around safe drinking.
