St Francis Children's Society
Some children and young people who are in care have experienced such terrible trauma in their early years that they have serious emotional and psychological difficulties later on in their teenage years. This makes it very difficult for them to be placed with families for adoption. St Francis' Children's Society (SFCS) works in Milton Keynes to find homes for children and young people who have emotional problems as a result of their childhood experiences. Comic Relief's funds will pay for a specialised mental health worker who will support these young people in an environment where they feel safe.
