Comic Relief at the UN Summit in New York
As a member of the Global Campaign for Education Comic Relief made this film for a high-level UN summit meeting which took place on Thurs 25 September in New York. Dignitaries, politicians and celebrities will be asked to register their intention to support education for all and the goal to deliver universal primary education by 2015.
There's been great progress - In the last five years 40million more children have started school but there is still a long way to go before every child gets the opportunity to go to school.
For Red Nose Day 2009 school children in the UK will be able to join us, and choose how the money they raise can help to break down the barriers that prevent so many kids from getting an education.
