Working for us
Say goodnight to the Sunday night blues
Having a job at Comic Relief is not quite the same as just 'having a job'. While you’re working for us you’ll:
- Bring your passion and find team spirit and inspiration
- Commit your talent and professionalism and have your contribution recognised
- Be open to opportunities and new ideas and be part of something amazing
- Use your energy to help us realise our ambitions and gain experiences that will help you to realise yours in the future.
Our main office is located in Vauxhall, Central London, and the vast majority of our 100+ staff are based there. During campaigns we also employ small teams of people in Cardiff, Glasgow, and Manchester. Along with our Chief Executive’s office which includes the Artist Liaison team, we have five departments: Business, Grants, Innovation and Creative, Marketing and Operations.
Whether you’re motivating the public to raise money, designing some of our award-winning education materials or re-patching the telephone system, we think it’s vital that you learn about the projects that Comic Relief helps to fund. Through our Nose About Grants initiative we organise regular lunchtime talks and staff visits to Comic Relief funded projects in the UK.
Having a voice is important to all of our staff. There is a well-established Staff Representation Group which regularly meets to talk about the things people care about. We also have a Green Team that helps Comic Relief to do what it can to minimise its impact on the environment.
Everyone who works here is committed to achieving our vision and mission, but alongside all that effort we know that a healthy work-life balance is vital. Yoga sessions and massages are regular events in the evenings, alongside the occasional friendly(ish!) football match with staff at the BBC. And everyone gets a small annual allowance to spend on their own personal training or development activity outside work – anything from Turkish lessons to salsa dancing.
We offer a comprehensive and competitive package of benefits including 25 days holiday (rising by 1 day a year to a total of 30) plus bank holidays, an excellent pension scheme, life insurance, child care vouchers, free confidential counseling for you and your family and as much tea and coffee as you can drink!
Finally, we’ll make sure you get to know everyone you’re working with – for a start we’ll expect you to sing and eat cakes when its their birthday, you’ll be able to join in our regular monthly social activities, and of course our parties and other events where having fun is compulsory.
