Serious Monkey Business
6th June 2012Not a lot of people know this, but famous knitted TV character, Monkey, is one of Comic Relief’s biggest supporters, which is why the charity is backing him in his latest endeavour.
This year Monkey had planned to take his acting career to Hollywood, but he has found that the film industry is less than welcoming to actors of the woollier persuasion. In response to this ‘woolist’ prejudice, Monkey has set up the Woolly Actors’ Guild (WAG) to campaign for equal rights for all actors, regardless of whether they are woolly, furry, feathered or flesh.
To highlight his plight, Monkey has even exposed this shocking clip from the cutting room floor that shows how George from Rainbow was originally cast in Notting Hill only to be replaced by Julia Roberts. Click here to watch the video.
Support the WAG by visiting www.woollyactorsguild.com to sign the petition to win equal rights for woolly actors!
You can also support Monkey by visiting his online shop and buying as much of his splendid merchandise as you can carry.
