Red Nose Day USA is back!

24th May 2018

Red Nose Day returns to the USA today for its fourth annual campaign. Dedicated to raising money and awareness to help end child poverty – people across the pond are donning the iconic noses all in the name of charity!

Viewers in America can expect to see Hollywood’s biggest names join forces and bring an incredible night of TV to NBC - the campaign’s official broadcast television partner. Celebs will put their skills to the test for a special edition of ‘Celebrity Ninja Warrior for Red Nose Day’, stars will compete on the ‘Red Nose Day Hollywood Game Night’ hosted by Jane Lynch, and the night will end with the annual ‘Red Nose Day Special’ hosted by comedian Chris Hardwick.

This year’s official Red Nose Day USA t-shirt was designed by former Spice Girl and fashion icon Victoria Beckham. The t-shirt promotes the message of Girl Power to young women and children around the world. Victoria said, “I’ve seen first-hand how Red Nose Day USA has touched the lives of millions of children – it’s been a true inspiration for me.”

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation are also getting involved with the Red Nose Day action again, and this year they will be matching every donation up to $250,000.

Red Nose Day in the USA is run by Comic Relief Inc. which is an independent sister organisation of Comic Relief UK. Comic Relief Inc. and Comic Relief UK are independent organisations related through their shared vision of a just world free from poverty, and a same mission to effect positive change through the power of entertainment.
