AA Cheadle

Over 100 volunteers including AA employees, family & friends took part taking donation calls from 1845 - midnight. The first call was taken by Sue Wheelhouse and it steadily went on from there with 2985 total calls taken, generating an amazing £105,580.60 for Comic Relief. Highest single donation taken on the night was £5000. Prizes on the night were given out to those taking the highest donations every hour. Local Cheadle businesses generously made donations to help create a fun and exciting evening for all.

Fundraising activities during the day included ‘cake sale’, ‘dress funny or in your pyjama’s’ ‘Comic Relief Pick a Pose Sweepstakes’ and ‘Save or Shave’ sponsor where a member of staff had volunteered to have his head completely shaved for this good cause, he managed to raise enough to save himself against those who wanted to see him have his head shaved! Total amount raised on the day was an overwhelming £1546.34.
