British Gas - Edinburgh

British Gas
Edinburgh
In the week leading up to Red Nose Day 2011 everyone in the Edinburgh office really pulled out all the stops to support this fantastic cause. There was a real team spirit on site as people worked together to raise fantastic amounts of money.
Thanks to all, we have fundraised over £10,000 so far, with more money still coming in. This is a staggering amount and we are all be proud of what we achieved in just 4 days.
Here are some of the highlights:
- Our brave CSM’s performed Beyonce’s Single Ladies live
- Robert Darge’s section climbed Mount Everest (kind of)
- Gemma Swanson didn’t speak for 8 hours straight!
- Several people had sponges and custard pies thrown at them
- Rob Mayer and his team are still recovering from their chilli eating challenge
- The People Team faced Lady Sugar in the boardroom for their Apprentice challenge
On the night itself, there was a great atmosphere in the office with over 200 people, including Scottish Gas colleagues, friends and family taking calls or supporting the teams and events.
In total we answered 2,545 calls in the Edinburgh office, resulting in us taking donations of £97,600. The single biggest donation on the night was £2000!
A heartfelt thanks for everyone’s hard work and tremendous effort which contributed to making Red Nose Day 2011 our best ever week of fundraising at British Gas.
