Glasgow

We had a fantastic night in Glasgow on the 18th of March, with over 100 BT staff giving up their Friday night to take donation calls for Red Nose Day 2011. The food and drinks donated by local companies were very much appreciated and in plentiful supply, Pizza Hut donated 50 Pizza’s which were gratefully eaten.

We took donations totalling over £97,000, with Joanne Young from Operator Services taking a call worth £2000, and for this she won a meal for two kindly donated by The Ho Wong restaurant. Joanne said “I thoroughly enjoyed being part of the team for Comic Relief; I took donations worth £4285 which will make a huge difference to people’s lives”.

Margo Gaw, a Customer Sales Advisor handled 62 donations calls and for this she won a meal for two with drinks donated by Piccolo Mondo, Glasgow. We had 9 generous ladies who travelled all the way from Dundee to help answer calls, and they composed a lovely poem about the Glasgow hospitality on their way home. People are already asking for their name to be added to the list for the next Comic Relief event - they had such a fabulous time!
