We made sure everyone who had not already been received the training in time for our telephone lines to open at 7pm.

Throughout the night we took 2072 calls, amounting to a staggering £76,500.33. This figure doesn't include our own fundraising which took place during the day. Thanks to the generosity of our staff we raised £889.39 from cake bakes, raffles, etc.

Most of our volunteers had never done this before and as ‘first-timers’ were unsure how they would handle taking calls, in some cases for 4 hours!! They were all fantastic, really getting into the spirit and enjoying themselves immensely.
