Equiniti - Contact Centre, Birmingham

On Friday the 18th March 2011, 70 volunteer call-takers at Birmingham’s Equiniti Contact Centre collected over £106,000 in public donations in support of Comic Relief between 6:30pm and 12pm. This was the first year that the company had decided to offer its support and it truly was a fantastic night.

The evening saw a round up of events leading up to the night including a 5 a side football match, splat a manager opportunity and coffee mornings which raised a fantastic £2500 for Comic Relief the night was made extra special with the arrival of Becky Doyle, wife of Birmingham City Football Club goal keeper Colin Doyle with a signed Carling Cup Match Programme for us to Auction.

Sam Halford Director of Operations said: “Our team of exceptional volunteers donated their spare time to Comic Relief after a long day at work and helped to raise a significant amount of money for so many vulnerable people here in the UK and in Africa, we are hoping to make this regular event and are looking forward to working with Comic Relief in the future “
