They came from all over GHA – Vicky Pollard, Graeme Souness, Supergirl and Penelope Pitstop and others – for another memorable night in aid of Comic Relief.

For the second year in a row GHA staff volunteered to take calls from their Customer Service Centre in the Gorbals in aid of the charity’s big night.

Almost 150 volunteers came together to staff the phones and take in donations for the popular charity. With 93 phones on the go, volunteers handled more than 2,500 calls and received around £100,000 in donations – even more than last year.

And GHA staff didn’t stop there – they raised the terrific total of £2,500 via raffles and other fundraising activities.

GHA Chair Gordon Sloan said: “There was a fantastic atmosphere on Friday evening. Everyone had a lot fun with the fancy dress but was also determined to do their bit for Comic Relief.

“It was great to see the commitment from GHA staff in giving up their own time for a good cause.”
