Comedian Joe Pasquale joined Kent County Council staff on Friday as they spent the night taking donations over the phones for this year's Comic Relief appeal.
Based at the Contact Centre at Invicta House in Maidstone, around 90 volunteers took 3,000 calls from 7pm until midnight, which raised around £125,000 with an additional 40 volunteers helping out just to make sure that the evening ran smoothly.
Pasquale, from Rochester who took calls and helped hand out food to the other volunteers said: "I've never done anything like this before so I was really looking forward to it. It's a great cause and with the financial situation everyone is in, every charity needs help and I'm pleased I could lend a hand."
