'It's Your Choice' runs support services for young people aged between 12-25 years old who live in the New Forest, in the south of England.
The project has a base in Totton, a town near Southampton, but reaches young people in villages and rural areas by operating outreach hubs across the forest.
It offers an open door for young people in need. This includes a counselling service, a drop-in for young people who are homeless, support for young people in debt, and support for drug and alcohol misuse.
Every year it supports hundreds of young people who find themselves in crisis, needing free and impartial help.
The grant will contribute to two staff roles who will help to fundraise for these vital services, through community fundraising, social media and links with grant-making trusts.
Mental Health has been a priority for Comic Relief’s funding in the UK for over ten years we have invested in therapeutic services, services for young people, campaigning and policy change work, anti-stigma and discrimination work and maternal mental health.
£30 could improve mental health and support networks for people experiencing or at risk of poor mental health.
