In North Liverpool, Psyched! will work with young men from some of most deprived boroughs in the UK. where high crime, gang and drug culture is rife, and positive male role models are scarce.
Psyched! aims to engage and support these young men with a range of dynamic activities. As well as taking a wrecking ball to mental health problems, the project also helps clients develop vital coping strategies.
The grant will pay for a project co-ordinator, a range of activities, an external evaluation of the project and a contribution towards the organisation’s overheads.
Mental Health has been a priority for Comic Relief’s funding in the UK for over ten years we have invested in therapeutic services, services for young people, campaigning and policy change work, anti-stigma and discrimination work and maternal mental health.
£30 could improve mental health and support networks for people experiencing or at risk of poor mental health.
