What we support
As well as our two main fundraising campaigns of Sport Relief and Red Nose Day, Comic Relief supports a number of other initiatives around the globe that share our mission to end poverty and social injustice.
America Gives Back (formerly known as Charity Projects Entertainment Fund) is a charitable organisation inspired by Comic Relief UK, established to help children and young people in extreme poverty in the U.S. and Africa. In 2007 AGB partnered with American Idol to create Idol Gives Back which raised US $75.1 million.
Comic Relief is a member of the Global Campaign for Education, a worldwide movement that promotes education for all as a right. This is because of Comic Relief’s organisational commitment to remove all the obstacles that prevent children from attending school.
Comic Relief is an active member of Send My Friend to School, the UK bit of GCE. Students and teachers from 10,000 schools take part in campaign actions each year.
