Comic Relief has been highlighting and supporting some of the more unpopular causes for many years. As a relatively small charity with a difficult social cause (domestic violence) and an extremely limited marketing budget, it would be almost impossible for us to achieve this sort of media coverage and corporate, celebrity and donor support on our own.

Comic Relief is a glorious example of how everyone in this country expresses their support and desire to create positive change in the lives of those who might never have the opportunity to bring attention to their plight. I am so honoured and proud to be a very small part of this.

For some time now, Comic Relief has supported us to implement what we felt was a very good approach to development. I'd like to personally express how grateful we are for the support we have received from Comic Relief for all these years. We have been working together since the mid 90s and it has been a wonderful experience.

The Red Nose Day Schools Pack just gets better and better. Each Red Nose Day I Fundraise with my class. We always have such a great day and a great experience along the way, learning so much about other children and planning our fundraising activities. Thanks so much to everyone on the Red Nose Education Team, you do a great job.

Nowadays I do virtually all my charity work with Comic Relief. This is because I believe that, from the point of view of both the charity recipient and the hard pressed charity worker/performer with the full diary, it is the most efficient money raising organisation I know. With Comic Relief’s policy of pre-sponsored expenditure, I am sure that all the money I help to raise goes to the charities, and indeed, that a large variety of charities are benefiting at the same time. I’m afraid the whole scheme just reeks of efficiency.

The BBC have shared a wonderful partnership with Comic Relief over the past 21 years and we are proud to work with an organisation which has given help and support to so many vulnerable and poor people both here in the UK and across the world. It is the perfect example of a huge national community event combining fun, engagement, entertainment and social good in equal measure. It's also a great night on BBC ONE with Britain's best talent absolutely committed to raising money for such a good cause.

I would like to express my appreciation for the work Comic Relief has done, and continue to do, for older people who are being abused. My personal thanks especially to Comic Relief for the expert and sensitive manner in which the whole Elder Abuse Campaign and grants process have been managed. We feel the process has been a model for excellence in the case of a funder working proactively and contributing to the work itself.

Our relationship with Comic Relief is fantastic. Comic Relief is the best funder we work with. They focus on the right things and their staff are totally supportive. My sense is that Comic Relief does everything possible to support us in our work and we have found the whole experience to be fabulous.

Comic Relief has made me feel more responsible as a human being. I did a lot of charity work before, but I was all over the place. Comic Relief reassures me that I can do more than just pose for photographs and show up at fetes or dinners. There’s nothing wrong with those activities, but, when I'm working for Comic Relief, I really feel like I'm doing something to help. As a Trustee, I feel that I have a voice; that can change things if necessary.

To me, Comic Relief means a phone-call every 2 years from Richard Curtis - which normally starts off something like "I was wondering if you'd mind dying your hair red or lying in a bath of baked beans, or doing 26 radio interviews tomorrow morning before 9?" Fortunately I'm normally able to persuade him to just let me host a quiz show and give him Richard Wilson's number for the other stuff.

The project is a great example of how Sport Relief uses sport to help people in desperate situations and to shatter taboos on issues such as domestic violence, HIV and AIDS.

Becoming more active is what we really need to do as a nation in order to combat obesity, and hopefully by encouraging people to take part in Sport Relief we can get more people to start doing that.

Sport Relief is giving people real hope.

We’re motivated by trips we have each made to Africa to see the work Sport Relief is doing. We can’t let the side down as we try to raise as much money as possible for this great cause.
