Sue Wicks


Sue joined Comic Relief in 2009 and is currently the Executive Director – Impact and Investments, providing strategic leadership of the organisation’s global portfolio of philanthropic investments, ensuring it is leveraged and spent to achieve greatest social impact across the agreed themes and in line with eligibility criteria. 

She is excited to be leading Comic Relief’s social change strategy, an ambitious but achievable strategy that brings together Comic Reliefs strengths as a funder, a powerful storyteller, an influencer and a learning organisation.

Sue has worked in grant making for 20 years. Before joining Comic Relief, she was Head of Programmes at vInspired and prior to that at the Big Lottery Fund (now NLCF). She is a Trustee of Women in Sport.
