Working for Comic Relief

Having a job at Comic Relief isn’t quite the same as just 'having a job'.
The work we do really does make a difference. It really does change lives. So, if you’re serious about wanting to work here, our principles are below.
Values
HAVE A SENSE OF HUMOUR, ALWAYS
Even if we’re facing adversity, or fighting for change, we can raise a smile.
INSPIRE A CULTURE OF GENEROSITY
Through unique relationships with schools, the public, and fundraising.
BREAK DOWN BARRIERS
By being brave, acting in solidarity, and standing up for what is right.
MAKE MEANINGFUL CHANGE
Putting people with experience of the issues we care about at the heart of decision making.
WALK THE WALK
Giving respect, and positivity, to the work of Comic Relief internally and externally.
SHARE THE STAGE
Enabling people to tell their own stories on our platforms. And listening.
MAKE IT PERSONAL
We celebrate diversity of experience as our greatest resource and strength.

SO, WHAT'S IT LIKE?
There’s lots of fantastic 'non-worky' stuff happening at Comic Relief too, like our softball club and choir, plus the yearly acoustic and band nights.
Our Staff Representation Group gives us the opportunity to raise issues about things we care about, for example environmental concerns and staff benefits, and our annual Learning at Work Week gives staff a fantastic opportunity to learn new professional skills and hobbies.
We also offer all our employees a comprehensive and competitive package of benefits including up to 30 days holiday, an excellent pension scheme, life insurance, childcare vouchers and a full employee assistance programme offering both a supportive helpline and cashback on day-to-day healthcare costs.

LIVING WAGE EMPLOYER
Comic Relief has been accredited as a London Living Wage employer.
The Living Wage is an hourly rate set independently and updated annually. The Living Wage is calculated according to the basic cost of living using the 'Minimum Income Standard' for the UK.
Decisions about what to include in this standard are set by the public; it is a social consensus about what people need to make ends meet.

DIVERSITY
We want Comic Relief to appeal to as many people as possible, regardless of their gender, age, race, disability, religion, sexual orientation or cultural identity.
We're doing all we can to be more relevant to everyone - from employees to volunteers, celebrity supporters to committee members and all the fantastic fundraisers that do incredible things for us
