Sport Relief is back between 9-13 March 2020. This time we're asking you to help us take on poverty and injustice in the UK and across the world by getting your kit on and raising some life-changing cash.
What is sport relief?
Sport Relief is the time, every two years, when the British public can get active, have fun and raise cash to help people living incredibly tough lives both in the UK and around the world.
Our fabulous fundraisers get sponsored for Sport Relief, and go the extra mile by organising sports tournaments, quizzes and challenges to raise even more cash.
It all leads up to a fantastic night of Sport Relief TV on the BBC.
Sport Relief without fundraisers would be like football without the ball. Take a look at how our fantastic fundraisers at home, work and school helped make Sport Relief such a success.
Staff at Riveria Travel really got into the team spirit for Sport Relief to raise money to help others by soaking the bosses and eating cake! Activities involved pelting directors with wet sponges, clocking up 2 million steps with a walkathon and then selling and eating sport-themed cakes at the office.
Coventry Building Society
Hundreds of staff and customers from Coventry Building Society ran, walked, cycled, swam, danced, baked, abseiled, zip-wired, quizzed, raffled and waxed their way to a titanic £25,000 for Sport Relief! It was a perfect example of how to really get into the Sport Relief spirit and the cash they raised will help to transform countless lives. Thank you!
Cliftonville primary school
Children from Cliftonville Primary School, in Margate, took part in a week of activities including a bake off, a dance-a-thon, a sportsperson dress-up day and the crafty creation of some 'coin art'. They raised a superb £771!
GET YOUR SCHOOL OR WORKPLACE INVOLVED
Thousands of people pull out all the stops to fundraise at their school or workplace each year. As well as raising a huge amount of cash, it brings some incredible benefits, like team building, motivating people to support a common goal and demonstrating a company or school’s positive impact.
Sport Relief’s success is in no small part down to the generous support we’ve received from people in the entertainment and sport industries, and to the companies who have kindly given gifts and sponsorship.
