Hawkedon Primary School
Hawkedon Primary School's whole-school baking challenge stood out as a whole-school effort of baking prowess! Teachers were challenged to bake something yummy while handcuffed in pairs (4 hands are better then 2, right??), then each class was challenged to decorate them and a winner was crowned!
Argyll and Bute Council
Inspired by Tess and Claudia’s moves, workmates at Argyll and Bute Council took on a 24 hour danceathon of their very own. They invited members from local schools to come and teach them different moves, and other colleagues made cups of tea, kept them fed and energised throughout the small hours of the night.
Louis and Capel Manor College
Louis was inspired to raise money after hearing about a local food bank that receives funding from Comic Relief. Louis loves animals and the conga… so getting everyone at his college involved in a sponsored conga line while dressed in animal onesies was the only logical choice!
This team of 4 fab mums completed 24 gruelling hours of continuous swimming, walking and cycling around the Sandbach area. We thought their collective effort of 1310 lengths, 116 miles and COUNTLESS repetitions on the bikes earned them the Bold Noser title for such an epic challenge!
Everyone at David’s 68th Birthday Party
After receiving the full itinerary of party games from David’s 68th Birthday Party (a grand total of 9 games spaced between three Red Nose Themed courses), we couldn’t not award them Party Noser. We loved the old-school games and dedication to have a birthday party as a fundraiser – nice one David!
One Ashford Hospital
We were stoked to receive the EPIC full length music video created by colleagues at One Ashford Hospital. Managing to lip-sync AND dance while keeping their Red Noses firmly place in every shot is no mean feat.
Mark had never fundraised on his own before, but he had the fab idea to challenge members of the community to spar 50 x 2 minute rounds against him. People queued up to have a go (don’t know if this is a compliment or insult Mark?!) He collected sponsors online and totally SMASHED his target raising over £1000 and counting.
For years Bob has donned his overcoat covered in badges, his cash bag, his marvellous ticket machine and his Red Nose to drive an ex-Sheffield transport bus around in exchange for a donation to Comic Relief. His tip to help others and ‘always look on the bright side of life’ has earned him Gold Noser this year!
8 year old Fern braved rain, wind, snow and hail to run up 3 peaks in her local area – a total of 6.5 miles and over 1400ft of climbing… in just one morning! Her energy and dedication to raise money for Comic Relief had her undoubtedly marked as a Rising Star in the fundraising world.
York Dances for Comic Relief
The award for the fundraiser that brought together the community with unwavering enthusiasm just had to go to Hanan and everyone on the York Dances for Comic Relief team. Their massive strictly inspired event brought together members of dance societies with non-dancing cricketers, fencers and floorballers (to name but a few) for a truly collaborative show to raise heaps of cash.
A massive thank you to every single person who dressed up, partied, sung, danced, challenged themselves and got stuck in this Red Nose Day. You’ve raised over £65 Million and counting which makes such a huge difference to countless lives both here in the UK and internationally. Without you we simply could not do it. THANK YOU.
