On Tuesday 17th July, the eighth annual AbilityNet Tech4Good Awards ceremony took place at the BT Centre in London. 200 people came together to celebrate the amazing people who use digital technology to make the world a better place.
Comic Relief were proud to present the Tech4Good for Africa award to the worthy winner - Unlocking Talent Through Technology. This amazing project is part-funded by Comic Relief and aims to improve the quality of primary school education for children in Malawi and provides schools with solar-powered tablets and specially-designed numeracy and literacy apps. The project has been so successful that the Malawian Government is now making it an official part of its education policy. 90,000 children from 110 primary schools have benefited already.
