A Huge Thank You

Comic Relief and hitmakers Clean Bandit have joined forces to say thank you to all those who supported ‘The Big Night In’, helping vulnerable people of all ages and backgrounds across the UK during the Coronavirus crisis.

This new recording of Clean Bandit’s UK number 1 and global hit ‘Symphony’ includes vocals performed virtually by community choirs from across the UK who are supported by Comic Relief. We hope you enjoy.

The money raised through The Big Night In Appeal will be split between Comic Relief and BBC Children in Need and will go on to support a variety of charities in the UK. And before 23 June, any amount you give will be matched by the UK government.

The government has pledged to match pound for pound donations to The Big Night In.

This match funding comprises a minimum donation of £20m to National Emergencies Trust; any funds raised over £20m will also be matched and split equally between BBC Children in Need and Comic Relief.

Together with BBC OneComic Relief and BBC Children in Need joined forces for the first time to present The Big Night In; an evening of entertainment like no other, raising money to help support people who really need it through these extraordinary times.

How will your money help?

The money raised through The Big Night In will be split between Comic Relief and BBC Children in Need and will go on to support a variety of charities and projects in the UK, so they can continue to provide vital frontline support to people who need it most through this crisis. 

There  is  more  demand  than  ever  for  support  from  charities and  community  organisations. This includes making sure people are safe from harm ,mentally healthy and with access to food, warmth and shelter; as well as helping people stay connected, active and positive through these extraordinary times. 

Together, Comic Relief and BBC Children in Need are working collaboratively with some national charities with specialist expertise and reach who can give support to people through their community networks, as well as directly with local grassroots organisations, to ensure the money raised reaches people who are in most need.
