A PARTNERSHIP FOR PEOPLE WHO GET ACTIVE TO IMPROVE THE LIVES OF OTHERS
Comic Relief is excited to have joined forces with parkrun(opens in new window), a fantastic organisation that has a vision of making the world healthier and happier. Parkrun is a free, community event where you can walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate at a timed 5k. With over 700 parkrun events taking place across the UK, you are sure to find one close by. We have long believed in the power of bringing people together to get active and help make their communities better, and we can’t wait to get this partnership started so you can get involved.
parkrun is a positive, welcoming and inclusive event. There is no time limit, no one finishes last and everyone is welcome to come along. Through our shared vision, we believe we can do great things together, and we’re working on plans to get active, have fun, and raise money to help fund important areas of our work.

WHY THIS PARTNERSHIP IS SO IMPORTANT…
Here in the UK and around the world, too many people are being left behind. Wealth and advances in society are benefitting too few. Progress is not providing a good life for all, with millions of people in poverty because of who they are or where they happen to live. Covid-19 has laid bare and deepened the challenges and injustices that exist in our world. Climate change is forcing more people into hardship.
But there is still hope. There are reasons to set our sights on a better future. Our younger generations are attuned to injustice and restless for change. We’re reminded every day of the inherent goodness in people. We see companies taking a stand and using their platforms for good. We see grassroots organisations transforming their communities.
Together with parkrunners up and down the country, we will channel all that positive energy and unrivalled community spirit into building a bigger community. With it, we will raise as much money as possible to help tackle poverty and injustice here in the UK, and around the world.
