• £10 could provide a meal for a Londoner every day for a month

  • £20 could provide a duvet and pillow to a young person helping them sleep at night

  • £50 could contribute to a new school uniform for a child fleeing with a parent from an abusive relationship

  • £100 could provide 400 meals for families at a local community centre

  • £300 could pay for all that’s needed by a family expecting a baby, including new cot mattress and pram

  • £1,750 could help get a truck packed with enough food for 7,000 meals

The situation is critical

And it's only getting worse... Families simply can't afford the bare minimum. They're relying on food and baby banks for basic essentials and critical support to simply get by.

For the past year we have endured increasing economic pressures – from soaring energy prices to dramatically higher food costs. But for 1 in 5 people living in poverty in the UK*, and millions more at risk, the effects of the economic climate continue to have a direct and severe impact on their day-to-day life. And when temperatures start to drop, the cut of poverty feels sharper than ever.

We urgently need your help. You could help vulnerable families, children and young people get through this winter.

Winter Survival Appeal

This winter Comic Relief and the Evening Standard are coming together once again to help children and families who are struggling across London, and right across the UK. Your donations will enable local organisations to help vulnerable children, young people families and individuals facing the toughest of times.
