Time to Talk Day - Breaking the silence on mental health

15th May 2017

Comic Relief supports Time to Change.

Around one in four adults will experience mental health problems at some point in their lives.

So to tackle the stigma which sometimes surrounds the illness, leading mental health charities Mind and Rethink Mental Illness have created "Time to Talk Day", which aims end the silence on mental health.

Time to Change is England’s most ambitious programme to end the discrimination faced by many people with mental health problems. This year on Time to Talk Day, the charity is asking the nation to take five minutes to have a conversation about mental health.

Living with a mental health problem is hard enough, but sometimes the isolation and stigma can make it even worse.

Comic Relief is committed to supporting people living with mental health problems, ensuring they get the help they need to recover and have their voices heard in the decisions that affect their lives.

With your support, Time to Change, part funded by Red Nose Day cash, has helped 2.7 million people have improved attitudes towards people living with mental health issues in England.
