Michael Crawford set to reprise his role as Frank Spencer in Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em sketch

After nearly 40 years off our screens, Michael Crawford is set to reprise his role as the iconic Frank Spencer in a special one-off Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em sketch for Sport Relief.

Michele Dotrice will also return to her role as long suffering wife, Betty, for the special.

The sketch will see hapless Frank in a number of calamitous escapades culminating in a chance meeting with cycling legend Sir Bradley Wiggins at the Lee Valley VeloPark with hilarious consequences.

The sketch will be shown exclusively during the Sport Relief Night of TV on Friday 18th March on BBC One.

Michael Crawford said: “I am absolutely thrilled to have been asked to bring Frank back for Sport Relief.”

Michele Dotrice said: “It will be an absolute joy to be reunited again with Frank and fitting, for it is such a wonderful cause.”

Sir Bradley Wiggins said: “I am a huge fan of Michael so it’s an absolute honour to be asked to be involved alongside such an icon of British television….. and all for a great cause!”

Alongside sporting icon Sir Bradley Wiggins, a whole host of famous faces from across the world of sport and entertainment will be appearing in this one-off sketch, all of which will be announced in due course.

To watch the sketch tune in to the Sport Relief Night of TV on Friday 18th March at 7pm on BBC One.

Money raised this Sport Relief will make a massive difference to people living incredibly tough lives, here at home in the UK and across the world’s poorest communities.
