Social Media Terms of Engagement

Comic Relief is a major charity based in the UK which strives to create a just world, free from poverty. We work 365 days a year to see that vision become a reality and our mission is to drive positive change through the power of entertainment.

We will try to join the conversation wherever possible, but sadly we cannot reply to all comments and queries on social media.

Please contact us via our website here (opens in new window)if you have any urgent comments or queries.

Comic Relief social media channels are reactively moderated. We cannot accept responsibility for the content of any comments.

Commenting Terms of Engagement: We won't remove or hide your comment just because we don't like it. But we do have a few simple rules that we'll apply out of respect and safety for others visiting our Facebook Page or other social media channels, or who might be mentioned on our channels.

No name-calling: Please be respectful of our users and the team who manage our social channels.

No swearing, please: Please use your common sense and imagine you're live on the BBC right now...!

No advertising or spam: Please do not promote your own products or services on our Page or posts.

Removal of posts: On occasion, we will exercise the right to delete posts, and on rare occasions ban users. We reserve the right to delete posts that violate these terms, and to block users who repeatedly violate the principles, or otherwise abuse the forum (see above).
