We support a wide variety of organisations working to create meaningful impact across the UK and internationally. Read more for a list of the programmes we have funded under our Strategic Priority: Alleviating poverty’s consequences and grip on people’s daily lives.

Uzazi Salama
Comic Relief’s Uzazi Salama programme funds local organisations in Uganda to improve maternal health in underserved, climate-affected communities. It supports pregnant adolescent girls and young women by strengthening health knowledge, delivering community-led maternal health services, and building supportive communities. Climate resilience activities are embedded to address the growing impact of climate change on maternal health.

The Bright Futures Programme
Comic Relief funded five organisations focused on early childhood development in the UK that are providing support for vulnerable children who are most impacted in early childhood, including children experiencing poverty and racially minoritised children and families. The programme prioritised services that are holistic, strengths-based, family and child-centred, and using integrated approaches.

Every Step of the Way
Comic Relief’s Every Step of the Way programme supports organisations across the UK that provide holistic, tailored support to young people aged 16 - 25 who are at immediate risk of, or experiencing homelessness. Funded partners deliver inclusive, accessible services that meet the diverse needs of young people, and places lived experience and participation at the heart of their work.

Mental Health in Kenya
The Mental Health in Kenya top-up funding supports six organisations to deepen and scale their work in improving access to quality mental health services for communities across Kenya. Building on the success of Comic Relief and FCDO’s co-funded Mental Health and Wellbeing in Kenya programme (2019-2024), this funding enables organisations to continue their vital work strengthening the country’s mental health sector as a whole.

Re-Rooted
Comic Relief’s Re-Rooted programme is supporting ten UK organisations that specialise in delivering services and support for refugees and asylum seekers in the UK, and that are doing influencing work for safer routes and improved outcomes for people affected. The programme prioritised holistic services and work that is shaped by people with lived experience.
