Manny is Chief Executive of Trust for London, a foundation that tackles poverty in London, and started his career as a community worker in the Welsh valleys, working to support the region’s small Black and minority ethnic population to get involved in local regeneration.
He went onto spend a decade working in the field of social innovation and led the Young Foundation's work on communities, specialising in neighbourhood regeneration, community organising, and the rise of technology in mobilising social action.
Manny has worked for Nesta, the UK's innovation Foundation, where he worked on programmes to help scale community involvement in public service reform in sectors such as health and education.
